FEATURED FRAMEWORK

iCET - Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology

Announced in May 2022 by Prime Minister Modi and President Biden, iCET sits at the centre of India-US technology cooperation. The initiative covers semiconductors, artificial intelligence, quantum information, biotechnology, space, and defence innovation. Under iCET, India and the United States have stood up dedicated tracks for chip co-fabrication, jet-engine technology transfer, and AI compute access. The initiative is project-led, with reviews twice a year between the National Security Council Secretariats of both countries.
